Photek partners with PETsys Electronics to develop a unique Photon Counting System with 256 channels

Photek have partnered with PETsys Electronics to integrate their custom timing TOFPET2d ASIC with Photek’s ultrafast AuraTekTM Microchannel Plate based multi-anode detectors. The integrated detector solution will deliver 16×16 pixel readout (256 total channels), with single photon timestamping resolution of 60 ps RMS, with 30 ps TDC bins and 480 KHz per channel maximum photon rate. The final system, to be launched in January 2022, will provide a unique technological solution for applications across: Microscopy, LIDAR, Quantum Information Systems and Particle Physics.
